Before starting his banking career, he spent ten years working alongside his father in the agriculture and trucking industries, an experience that shaped his work ethic, practical mindset, and appreciation for strong relationships.
He began his banking journey as an agricultural lender, working closely with farmers and rural businesses. Over time, he transitioned into commercial lending, supporting a wide range of business types across the area, from small local operations to complex national projects. Chris also spent time as a correspondent banker, learning the operational side of banking and how different parts of the institution connect and collaborate.
Outside of work, Chris is a proud family man. He and his wife, Kelli, live in Nebraska with their three kids, who he says keep life busy and full of meaning.
