Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln (LincolnHabitat.org) is pleased to announce that LaCresha Brooks has been promoted from administrative assistant to development specialist. In her new role, LaCresha will be developing community partnerships for in-kind donations of goods, materials, and labor for the construction of Habitat houses. She will also be responsible for the donations to stock the Habitat Restore, a home improvement thrift store selling overstock and slightly-used furniture, lighting, appliances, and building materials with the proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity.

LaCresha brings decades of networking and fundraising skills to her new position and is passionate about the issue of affordable housing in the city of Lincoln. Her enthusiasm to build relationships and connect people to a cause they are passionate about is a huge asset for Habitat for Humanity.

“Everyone who meets her loves her,” shared Josh Hanshaw, Habitat’s CEO. “We are so lucky to have someone like her with the people skills and passion to help us build more homes for families in Lincoln.”

Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln was established in 1988 and has built or repaired 184 homes in Lancaster and Seward counties.
