Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln’s Josh Hanshaw Celebrates Five Years as CEO

Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln (lincolnhabitat.org) is celebrating CEO Josh Hanshaw’s five-year anniversary leading the organization. During his time at the helm, Josh has grown organizational capacity, improved processes, and created new revenue streams to serve more families in need of affordable housing. Since joining Habitat Lincoln in October 2015, Josh has grown the local staff from eight to 14, including full-time positions for construction manager, program manager, operations director, and volunteer coordinator, as well as additional positions at Habitat Lincoln’s ReStore to increase sales to supporting organizations.

Josh serves on many Habitat for Humanity International and local committees and has stewarded the organization in new and exciting ways, including Blitz Builds, home repairs, homeownership education, mortgage financing, and the creation of the Family Relief Fund to help homeowners who have been negatively affected by COVID-19.

Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln is part of a global nonprofit housing organization that brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. In addition to future homeowners, volunteers, and supporters, Habitat Lincoln helps new homeowners achieve the strength and independence they need to build better lives for themselves and their families. To date, Habitat Lincoln has built or repaired more than 170 houses, serving more than 775 local individuals and nearly as many globally through Habitat International’s tithe program, which serves about 1,500 individuals.
