Legacy Retirement Communities Recognizes Jerry Joyce Legacy Award Recipients
Legacy Retirement Communities (www.legacyretirement.com) would like to congratulate the 2018 Jerry Joyce Legacy Award winners, sponsored by the Legacy Retirement Communities and KFOR. Winners were honored at a luncheon at Legacy Estates in November.
The Jerry Joyce Caring Heart Award of $1,000 was presented to Frankey Ostlund, who paid it forward to Bridges to Hope, where she and her husband have faithfully volunteered for a decade. Bridges to Hope provides tangible items necessary to start a new home after incarceration. Frankey was nominated by Rhonda Mattingly.
Two Jerry Joyce Living Legacy Awards of $2,500 were given. The first recipient was Irene Colborn, who divided her award between the International Quilt Study Center and First Presbyterian Church. Irene volunteers at Jacob’s Well, the Gathering Place, The International Quilt Study Center, and serves many ways at her church. She was nominated by Sue Martin.
The other Jerry Joyce Living Legacy Award recipient was Tom Scott, who paid forward his $2,500 to Habitat for Humanity, where he is a dedicated volunteer, wearing about ten different hats in all areas of this non-profit. Tom was nominated by Dani Vallis.
