Optimum Veterinary Medical Group Brings on Dr. Michael Cover

Optimum Veterinary Medical Group (optimumpethealth.com),  founded by Dr. Lauren Gealow and Jordan Kershner, is excited to welcome Dr. Michael Cover to the team! Dr. Cover comes to Optimum with many years of experience. He developed his passion for caring about animals early in life while growing up on his family ranch, as a fifth generation Sandhills rancher. Dr. Cover received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, a Master of Science degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, a Graduate Certificate in the Master’s Program in Public Health with an emphasis in zoonotic diseases, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. His main interests in small animal medicine focus on preventive medicine, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, and nutrition for companion animals. Dr. Cover is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association.

Optimum Pet Health and Wellness Center was founded in 1987 and purchased in 2018 by Optimum Veterinary Medical Group. Dr. Gealow and Kershner opened Optimum Veterinary Clinic in northeast Lincoln within the last year, and they are excited to be growing their team and client base in the area.
