Pemberly Place Senior Living Community Welcomes Clinic Manager Ashley Billings

Pemberly Place Senior Care Living Community (pemberlyplace.com) recently welcomed new Clinic Manager Ashley Billings to their team to help Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Cynthe Dumler lead the facility’s clinic operations. Formerly a medication aide at The Woodlands, Ashley hopes to help Pemberly gain organization and a great flow across many aspects of the facility. Ashley found her love for nursing in a very difficult way. Her dad passed away in 2013, and the feelings of helplessness and not knowing terminology or the right questions to ask the doctor made Ashley decide she wanted to become a nurse. She did just that and became a medication aide to help others.

In fact, Ashley has always loved helping people, enjoys solving and making things better to give people a sense of reassurance and the comfort that they have and understand all possible information available to them. Ashley worked at The Woodlands for more than a year before joining the Pemberly Place team. She is working with the nursing director to make things more “visible,” not just for management purposes but to help all staff members—from caregivers to medication aides—in having all the information they may need right in front of them. Ashley has always followed her heart and lived by a quote from a special person: “You know you are done fighting when you know you don’t have the fight anymore.” In other words, every day can present a challenge, but if you aren’t willing to put in the time or effort, it’s not worth the time.
