Screamers Dining and Cabaret Brings on Bashir Rahman as Executive Chef
Bashir Rahman has joined Screamers Dining and Cabaret (screamersdining.com) as executive chef. Originally from Chicago, Chef Bashir is a graduate of Washburne Culinary & Hospitality Institute. In his 30-plus years of experience, Chef Bashir has worked for Marriott hotels, spent 15 years at the Villager Courtyard and Gardens Hotel in Lincoln before it closed, and did private restaurant consulting in Orange County, CA. Most recently, Chef Bashir served as the regional manager of Upper Crust Food Service in the Northwest Region. Upper Crust is known for providing fraternities and sororities across the country with high-quality, fresh, and delicious college catering service.
As a chef, Bashir specializes in world cuisine. Patrons will enjoy his wide culinary variety, from Asian cooking to Italian dishes—he can do it all. Chef Bashir chose to take his talents to Screamers because he was intrigued by the restaurant’s cabaret aspect. With a musical background himself, Chef Bashir fits right in at the downtown eating and entertainment venue. He has even earned himself a reputation for selecting the music he listens to in the kitchen based on what he is cooking at the time.
