The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel (www.marriott.com/lnkfs), owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, has named Otis Dickerson as executive chef. In this role, Dickerson will oversee the culinary operations of the hotel, including banquets and catering, menu creation, and overall execution of the food and beverage program.

Dickerson brings more than 20 years of culinary leadership in the hospitality industry to the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. Most recently, he served as dual property executive chef at Arrowwood Resort at Cedar Shore and Al’s Oasis Restaurant in Oacoma, SD. In this role, he managed the culinary operations for a large resort and conference center, two restaurants, as well as a café and bar. Dickerson’s experience also spans across other resorts, casinos, and hotels throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Dickerson has a strong background in Cajun-inspired Southern cuisine, receiving numerous awards for his unique dishes throughout his career.

Dickerson received an associate degree in culinary arts and chef training at Louisiana Technical College in Baton Rouge. He also holds additional certifications on hospitality and restaurant management and protein and nutrition from the National Restaurant Association, as well as a certificate on food safety and sanitation from the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals.
