Union Bank & Trust (UBT) (ubt.com) recently promoted Blanca Valencia to the position of Multicultural Banking Officer in the Small Business department.

Valencia started her career with the bank in 2019 as a teller and was promoted to Personal Banker in 2022. In 2023, she transferred to the new bank branch at Union Bank Place and was later promoted to the roles of Non-Real Estate Lender and Senior Personal Banker in 2024. In her new role, Valencia will be focused on helping immigrants and multicultural businesses in the Lincoln community to learn the banking system and connecting them with the tools they need to be successful.

A Mexico native, Valencia immigrated to the United States in 2005 and graduated from high school in 2013. She credits the support of the community and access to valuable resources for making the transition as smooth as possible for her. “From an early age, I knew I wanted to help others, and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to fulfill that passion through my work at UBT,” Valencia said of her newest role within the bank.
