Registration for SCIP’s Hop, SCIP, Jump and RUN Event Now Open

Registration is now open for the Hop, SCIP, Jump and RUN event benefiting School Community Intervention and Prevention (SCIP, scipnebraska.com). This year’s event is set for June 3 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Antelope Park and will feature a variety of booths and activities sponsored by local nonprofits. Visit a pre-set number of booths and activities, and you can enter your name into a drawing for prizes donated by area businesses. B107.3 will be on-site to emcee the event, as well as Vern and Ellie’s Food Truck to serve up their delicious fare.

A one-mile Fun Run throughout the park will be held later in the evening, which will be free thanks to generous sponsor support. The first 100 kids (18 and under) who register for the Fun Run will receive a free event t-shirt. You can also sign up to run the night of the event. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers of the Fun Run. Kids under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult.

Money raised at the event will help SCIP provide needed resources to schools and families throughout the state of Nebraska to address behavioral and emotional health issues that impact children, adolescents, and their families. To register in advance, visit scipnebraska.com. You can learn more about the Fun Run at the website or by contacting Valerie Hotsenpillar at vhotsenpillar@lmep.com / (402) 327-6843.
