Sarah Reinke Takes Over as Executive Director at Willard Community Center
The Board of Directors for Willard Community Center (willardcommunitycenter.org) is pleased to announce the promotion of Sarah Reinke to executive director.
Sarah attended Doane University, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and endorsement in early childhood development. She has been with Willard since 2009 and has served in several roles, including program director for the last 11 years. Sarah succeeds Janelle Soderling in this new role. Janelle will retire this upcoming May after serving 40 years with Willard.
“Sarah has a natural leadership talent and has built loyal relationships with the community we serve and our staff,” shared Janelle. “Sarah has tirelessly invested in making Willard one of the best community centers in Lincoln. You will see many new and exciting changes under her leadership.”
Willard Community Center focuses on youth development and education and presents programs across the age spectrum, including senior adults. Willard offers early childhood education preschool and Pre-K, before and after school programs for elementary schools, and social/educational opportunities for adults. Willard’s children attend Roper or Lakeview Elementary Schools; each serves a high percentage of free and reduced lunch participants. They address children’s educational and social needs while providing affordable, quality care. The Board is excited to work with Sarah as they continue to focus on their strategic goals and vision for the center. They look forward to the next chapter for Willard and the surrounding community under Sarah’s leadership. Learn more at willardcommunitycenter.org.
