The Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation (JCMF, www.joshtheotter.org) will hold a Dancing Within the Star City benefit event on Saturday, November 12 at the Scottish Rite Ballroom, 332 Centennial Mall South. Inspired by Dancing with the Stars, Dancing Within the Star City currently features eight couples performing two dances for the audience and the celebrity judges. In addition to the dancing, the event will feature drinks, appetizers, and a live auction. Doors will open for cocktail hour at 6 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:15 p.m.

Individual tickets start at $150 for general admission and $200 for VIP individual tickets, and varying levels of sponsorships from $5,000 to $25,000 are still available. Proceeds from the event will go towards furthering JCMF’s mission to prevent childhood drowning through early education with their “Josh The Otter” and “Float 4 Life” programming. To purchase a ticket, inquire about a sponsorship, or learn more about the event, contact Kathy Collingsworth at Kathy@joshuamemorial.org / (402) 730-3232.

The Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation was established in honor of Joshua Collingsworth and to educate children and adults worldwide about water safety through the utilization of drowning prevention campaigns and early childhood water safety training. JCMF aims to eliminate drowning through water safety education and awareness by fostering a generational change in the way children and adults perceive bodies of water.
