Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center celebrated its opening with a Ribbon Cutting Celebration on September 8th, 2011.
Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center provides short-term skilled rehabilitation, memory support and long term care. Rehabilitation is a key component to the Southlake Village culture. They offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy in their inspiring Husker-themed rehabilitation gym. The Southlake Village therapists are committed to providing the tools necessary to assist our guests in reaching their rehab goals. Their therapy department is pleased to be the first inpatient skilled rehabilitation center in Lincoln to offer the AlterG anti-gravity treadmill. This treadmill is a vital piece of equipment when assisting in the rehabilitation of those with a weight bearing restriction or joint pain from arthritis.
They are also excited to be adding the It’s Never 2 Late (IN2L) program to Southlake Village in October. IN2L provides the opportunity to experience and learn new life skills that enhance the quality of the lives of the residents we serve. By introducing residents to the world of assistive computer technology through the use of games, puzzles, music, email, skype and other social media they can achieve this goal.
