As the 2025-26 school year closed, Lincoln TeamMates (LincolnTeamMates.org) achieved their long-time goal of 365 new mentors trained in a year. Now, with the 2026-27 school year already on the horizon, the goal is even higher. TeamMates co-founder, Tom Osborne, has always had the goal of 2,030 matches in Lincoln by 2030. With that aspiration in mind, their goal for 2026-27 is 400 new mentors trained!
With their plan in place, the Lincoln TeamMates staff is confi dent they can achieve this goal. They look to increase their annual attended recruitment events from 116 to 125 and they look to lean on their current mentors. TeamMates mentors know what it takes to be successful, and there is nobody better to share their experiences than someone who knows what it takes and understands the benefits.
There are around 500 students eagerly waiting for a mentor, and there is no better time to apply than now. With the fi rst day of school for LPS being August 12, you can begin your journey with your mentee right away.
