On Monday, April 18, 2011, United Way/Community Health Charities Campaign Chair, Charlie Meyer recognized local volunteers, donors, business, and community leaders praising a caring community that in 2010 helped raise $5, 932,058.

Honored for outstanding dedication to the mission of United Way through its leadership commitment, resources, and time spent to solve community issues, Union Bank & Trust Company, received the 2010 President’s Award.  Receiving this award for the first time, Union Bank & Trust Company associates dedicated their time to United Way by being involved in the United Way Board of Directors, United Way/Community Health Charities Campaign Cabinet, Women in Philanthropy Steering Committee, the United Way Foundation Board, and several other committees.
Additional 2010 awards given in support of the United Way/Community Health Charities Campaign included:  2010 Campaign Largest Increase in United Way Fund Dollars: Mattson, Ricketts, Davies, Stewart, and Calkins (50 or less employees); Olsson Associates (51-250 employees); Union Bank & Trust Company (250+ employees).  2010 Largest Percentage Increase: Center for People in Need, Inc. (50 or less employees);  Garner Industries (51-250 employees); BNSF Railway in partnership with Organized Labor (250+ employees).  2010 New Partner Award: Sampson Construction Co., Inc.,

Lincoln Orthopaedic Center, P.C.  2010 Campaign Outstanding Speaker: Marissa Torio, Program Director, El Centro de las Americas; Gayle Krueger, Speaker, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
