United Way and Community Health Charities began its 2011 campaign on Thursday, September 8 with a highly spirited kick-off.  More than 500 energized Lincolnites came together for a tailgate breakfast at the Embassy Suites.

Music from the Southwest High School Show Choir “Resonance” added an extra level of excitement to the event, along with the sounds of local disc jockey, DJ Romeo, speaker, Aaron Davis and the LIVE UNITED Pep Squad.

The event marked the start of the United Way/Community Health Charities 2011 annual campaign and featured remarks from Jim Cada, Partner, Cada, Froscheiser Cada & Hoffman, 2011 Campaign Chair. “The needs in our community continue to grow and for this reason we have set an aggressive goal of $6,165,000.  While this will not fill all of the needs, it will help our community make an impact on the lives of children, those in crisis, and those directly affected by a chronic health condition,” Cada said. To date, the campaign has raised more than $2,300,000 million or 37% of the goal.

The well attended rally was hosted by Cada, Froscheiser Cada & Hoffman.
