Voices of Hope (voicesofhopelincoln.org) will be hosting their 11th annual Strike Out Sexual Assault Bowl-A-Thon Fundraiser on April 29 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Teams of four to six are eligible to bowl for prizes such as best team name, best uniforms or costumes, best team spirit and highest and lowest scores.
Every year this fun event not only raises awareness about services available in the community, but it helps to raise funds essential to offer the 24-hour-a-day support for survivors provided by Voices of Hope. Voices of Hope provides free and confidential services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and incest. Last year, the organization answered more than 8,000 calls from individuals needing help or information related to domestic violence and sexual assault, and assisted more than 2,500 victims and survivors through services such as safety planning, counseling, protection order assistance, support groups and legal and medical advocacy.
