The July WBON meeting will be held Wednesday, July 20th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at The Knolls on 2201 Old Cheney Road. The presentation will be on Radical Acceptance and speakers will be Wendy Garrison of Garrison Counseling and Cindy Heider Kaliff of Career & Life Options. This program is designed for the busy woman who desires an opportunity for reflection and further self-understanding.
Wendy Garrison and Cindy Heider Kaliff will explore the concept of Radical Acceptance which is accepting absolutely everything about ourselves and our lives by embracing with wakefulness and care our moment-to-moment experiences and becoming aware of what is happening within our bodies and mind in any given moment, without trying to control or judge or pull away. Wendy and Cindy will engage participants in activities that will explore mindfulness and compassion as helpful strategies to evoke peace and solace.
