Texas T-Bone Steakhouse – “Everything is Big Except Our Prices”
Texas T-Bone Steakhouse (texastbonesteakhouse.com) expanded into Lincoln in May of 2015 with the opening of its location at 70th & O Street. Since then it has been business as usual, serving up steaks and salads done right. The Lincoln community gave Texas T-Bone a warm welcome back then, and now, coming up on three years since making the decision to open here, it’s a local favorite enjoyed by many.
Whether you’ve given it a try once or twice or have become a regular, if you’ve seen the fare at Texas T-Bone Steakhouse firsthand, you know it’s truly a sight to behold. Presentation aside, which features portion sizes that you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else, the flavors are consistently exceptional. Exactly what you’d expect from a traditional steakhouse, from the rustic surroundings to the good food and drinks and the friendly service, it’s all a part of the experience Texas T-Bone Steakhouse prides itself on offering. There’s even the classic bucket of peanuts, because of course tossing the shells on the floor is part of the fun!
After his service in the United States Marine Corps came to an end in 1973, Bennett Chamness, owner of both the Lincoln and Grand Island steakhouses, began his career at a steakhouse in Kearney, NE where he went to work for a childhood friend as an assistant manager. It was there that he learned the ropes of running a steakhouse and a great deal about the restaurant industry in general. He had his own ideas about what he thought would make for a great steakhouse, where customers get the very best value for their money, and over the next 33 years developed those into the Texas T-Bone Steakhouse that exists today.
As a seasoned steakhouse restauranteur of 44 years, Chamness has helped create and develop over a dozen different successful concepts of restaurants in New Mexico, Arizona, Iowa, Texas, Kansas & Nebraska. He still enjoys being hands-on and interacting with his customers. You’ll often see him at the Lincoln restaurant working alongside his team. Still to this day, his passion is cutting his own steaks by hand on-site.
All in all, Texas T-Bone Steakhouse is an establishment where you can go to enjoy the atmosphere and the quality steakhouse fare. In true Roadhouse-style fashion, there’s a great selection of signature dishes ranging from the largest selection of USDA premium steaks in Lincoln, cut in-house, to BBQ, ribs, chicken, and burgers. Other favorites on the menu are the “Road Kill,” pork chops, seafood, skillets, and to get started, plenty of hearty appetizers. It’s also home to the “Create Your Own Salad,” which is absolute perfection. Well known for the impressive portion sizes, guests will find a nice selection of options for those with smaller appetites. Paired with drinks from the full-service bar, you’re in for a real treat each visit.
The restaurant has been cutting all of their steaks in-house for over 25 years! If you haven’t experienced Texas T-Bone Steakhouse yet, it’s a must!
