Properties For You (www.propertiesforyou.net) is a local, family-owned-and-operated real estate business, concentrated on providing quality housing at affordable prices to the Lincoln community since 2006. Ana Hyler is the owner of Properties For You.
Tell us a little about your business.
Properties For You is dedicated to providing renovated, comfortable, clean, and affordable housing. We currently offer rentals, renovated high-end houses, and we run a few Airbnb facilities. We plan on moving forward with more real estate investments. The name “Properties For You” expresses the fact that we prepare our rental properties with the client in mind. It is FOR YOU—the tenant, buyer, and final user.
How did you get started in the business?
I was born with business in me. My first established business was an import retail business that I opened when I was 20 years old. A few years later, I opened and ran a pub. I then moved to the United States to go to Kansas State University. Once I established residency in Omaha, I invested in real estate. That first sale locked me in.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally?
Personnel is an integral part of every business, and finding the right people can be a challenge.
What has been your most important achievement professionally?
The growth of my business.
Tell us a little about your family.
I am originally from Paraguay, South America. My mom and dad still live there and we visit each other every year. I am the oldest of three; my middle brother in Paraguay and my little sister lives in Kansas. I have three wonderful kids, ages 27, 26, and 10. My oldest ones are now participating and working in the business.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
There are so many curves in the road of life, but the ones that changed me the most were moving to the U.S. to pursue an education and my divorce.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
Watch real estate shows, get together with family and friends, and make goals for the future.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I am the oldest daughter of a three-star General of the Paraguayan Army. I’m so proud of my dad!
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do.”
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?
Visionary.

Architecture.

I listen to real estate podcasts, and I enjoy reading spiritual growth books and the Bible.

The Wolf of Wall Street and Pursuit of Happiness.

House and anything on HGTV.

MōMō Pizzeria & Ristorante.
