Meet Halie Hollowell, the marketing director at Greenleaf Commercial Real Estate (greenleafcommercial.com).

Tell us a little about your business. – Greenleaf Commercial Real Estate is a full-service commercial real estate company offering professional asset management services and brokerage services including leasing, sales, acquisitions, consulting, and development.

How did you get started in the business? – I have always had a strong creative side and interest in visual arts. I started my own company a few years back creating promotional materials for businesses across the United States. I believe that experience, combined with my passion of wanting to help businesses grow really solidified marketing as my career of choice.

Tell us a little about your family. – My mother, Laura, lives in Paris, TX along with my twin brothers, Ely and Ryder. I pride her for her hard work of being a mother of three and facing any challenges that come her way with grace. My father, Mike, lives in Blossom, TX and he owns his own car sale business. I am privileged that he taught me the importance of setting goals and achieving them by him being an entrepreneur. I have an amazing boyfriend of three years, Cal. He is from Lincoln and the reason I have decided to put my roots down here. His mother Anne, father Shannon, and sister Emily have also been huge blessings in my life!

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I have a few! I was an only child until I was 17. I really enjoy painting and 90% of my décor at home is something I have created or painted. I spent 16 hours in a nonconventional airport in Denmark, overnight, because I missed my flight! Buying and making gifts is one of my absolute favorite things to do. Nothing makes me happier than finding, or making, the perfect thing for someone. I participated in many activities growing up – ballet, jazz, tap dancing, beauty pageants, gymnastics, cheerleading, basketball, softball, track and field, and volleyball. When I was younger, I would spend three to five hours a day choreographing dances to show my family.

Who inspires you? – My grandmother, Meme, was such an inspiration to me. She was kind and caring and was always welcoming. She would do anything for anyone. She would give her last dollar to someone who was in need, and every year at Thanksgiving she would invite anyone who didn’t have a place to go. She was and still is my role model. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and gained her wings the same year. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Both my mother and father have always told me “Do whatever makes you happy, Halie!” I am so thankful they have both been very supportive of me and my decisions in my life. I am fortunate enough to have such incredibly encouraging parents.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Persevering.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – If I could have a super power, it would be the ability to heal.

What is your favorite movie? – Right now, Pulp Fiction! It’s a classic.

What is your favorite TV show?Manifest, and the anime Death Note.
