Tell us a little about your business.
ServiceMaster PBM is a commercial janitorial company that has been proudly serving Lincoln for over 25 years. We have just under 50 customers and provide service to over 70 locations throughout Lincoln. We clean everything from office buildings to healthcare facilities to industrial factories and more. Even though we’re growing as a company something I love about us is that we are still small enough to maintain a family-like atmosphere. My role is to ensure the office staff provides assistance to the operational team so that they can in turn provide extraordinary service to our customers. Just think of me as the Michael Scott of ServiceMaster.
How did you get started in the business?
I worked for Merry Maids, a sister company of ServiceMaster, when I lived in Las Vegas and really enjoyed it. I decided to look for work with a ServiceMaster brand company when I moved here and luckily, I found ServiceMaster PBM. I’m proud to say this past September marked my fifth year working for the company!
Tell us a little about your family.
It’s just me, my 14-year-old son Noah and my three-year-old cat Olive. My son is a freshman at Northeast High School. He loves animals and video games. During the summer he volunteers at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
The promotion from office assistant to office manager here at ServiceMaster has definitely been one of my biggest turning points in life. I was given the chance to prove my abilities and take my career to the next level. Over the past five years I have grown and learned so much, not only about business but about myself.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
I love taking random road trips. I just get in the car and go! There doesn’t have to be a destination, I go wherever the day takes me.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?
Determined. I’ve overcome many obstacles in my life. I am passionate about personal growth and set out to prove to myself that I can do anything I choose to take on.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
I have a small home-based business making chocolate-covered strawberries that I do in my spare time. I just discovered this talent while working from home during the start of the pandemic. It has fast become a passion of mine.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?
I have a degree in Elementary Education and have always loved working with kids, but I would LOVE to be a florist. I have loved all flowers ever since I was young!
What is your favorite movie?
There are so many to choose from, but Mrs. Doubtfire is probably in my top three.
What is your favorite TV show?
I really enjoy documentaries and true crime. If it’s a true crime documentary I’ve most likely seen it! And, obviously, the cult classic Saved by the Bell.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
Taco Inn, their deluxe nachos are amazing. I moved away for a few years when my son was born and when I came back that was the first restaurant I went to!
