Meet Ronda Armstrong, area director of Lincoln Center Sphere.

Tell us a little about your business. – Center Sphere provides a network of local support for businesses through trusted, proven, and profitable relationship building. Our vision is to be a catalyst for growth for individuals, businesses, and nonprofits within their communities. We are committed to authenticity, consistency, and innovation as we deliver the best possible experience to our members and those they serve. Center Sphere isn’t about us, it is about our members.

How did you get started in the business? – I have been a member of Center Sphere for the last five years when I worked at the American Cancer Society and as owners of the restaurant Cowboy Chicken.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – I had a very successful career with the American Cancer Society as a community manager for 16 years. My volunteers and I were able to raise nearly a million dollars over that time.

Tell us a little about your family. – My husband and I have a blended family of five children, all adult children except Sam who is a senior at Southwest. Joe and I have been married for six years and enjoy traveling and winery visits.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – When I reconnected with my now husband after he lost his wife to cancer.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I enjoy spending time with friends and family, winery visits, and Husker sporting events. My husband and I love to travel and experience new places.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I am a country girl at heart. I was raised in Elmwood, NE on a small farm. I showed 4-H calves and did all that is country growing up.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Less junk, more journey.”

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Loyal.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey.

Which talent would you most like to have? – To be able to sing and play music. I have a talented family, but the gene skipped me.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – The American Cancer Society because I know so many people who we have lost to the disease, are surviving, or are battling right now.

What is your favorite movie? – Dirty Dancing.

What is your favorite TV show? – Friends.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – MoMo Pizzeria & Ristorante.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Bess Streeter Aldrich. She is from my home town.
