Shane’s Dwyer grew up in photography studios as his father was a photographer.  He loved what his father did and decided to get into the business himself after school and has been a photographer now for over 14 years.  Shane & Sunny Photography is run by him and his wife Sunny.  They photograph high school seniors, newborns, weddings, business portraits, families and events.  Sunny and he are both trained photographers and actually met at a photography convention.  Shane loves the fact that he gets to work with his best friend every day!
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – My biggest challenge is balancing family with work.  I’m usually here at the studio all hours of the day and on weekends.  It’s hard being away from the kids.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?
I (with a lot of help from Sunny) have grown our business over the past three years when a lot of people are struggling.  I love and appreciate every one of our clients.

Tell me a little about your family.
Sunny and I have been married for seven years.  We have two children, Carter (5) and Ava (4) and one on the way!!!!  In March we will welcome our third child.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
Having kids.  My father once told me “Nothing guarantees success like hunger.”  It’s amazing how hard you work when you have a family to support.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
Camping.  This is new to me.  We just started doing some camping a few years ago and I love it.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I have a degree in Biochemistry from UNL.

What are you the most proud of?
I know this is cliché but my family.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“What would you do if you were not afraid?”

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish?
Get to a point in our business where I can spend more time with the family.

How would your friends describe you?
Well in college, it was Fun Shane but now I think they would describe me as loyal.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
Knowledge of science.

Which talent would you most like to have?
I wish I was a better speller.  I’m awful.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I have trouble slowing down.  Sometimes I wish I could sit and do nothing but that just wouldn’t be me.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?
How to Win Friends and Influence People.  It’s a classic.

What is your favorite movie?
Shawshank Redemption

What is your favorite TV show?
Modern Family

What is your favorite Lincoln restaurant?
I have two.  Lazlos and the Greta Burger at Greta’s Gourmet
