Meet Daniel Carstensen, Business Account Manager at ALLO Business Solutions (AlloFiber.com/Business).

Tell us a little about your business. – ALLO Business Solutions is celebrating 20 years of business specializing in fiber, voice, TV, Security and IT support. We pride ourselves on providing honest, exceptional, local and hassle-free service. We are currently in three states and continuing to grow.

How did you get started in the business? – I got started 12 years ago in telecommunications and have worked for several companies over that time, but I am very happy to be part of the ALLO family now.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Telecommunications is a very fast paced and constantly changing environment. One has to stay up to date on the business challenges that arise in network, voice, security and support to ensure we can best serve our customers. My goal is to be a trusted business consultant to our clients and to do everything in my power to help them thrive along the way.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – I have received my share of awards over the years which gets you acknowledgement from your company and peers. However, my biggest achievement is when I earn my clients’ business for the long haul. When they know that I will take care of them and we have a trusted partnership. In this business you are only as good as your reputation and I take that seriously.

Tell us a little about your family. – Family comes first and I take great pride in being the father of my three sons. Kadan, is becoming an Electrician, and works hard and takes pride in his work. Gavin, is a Sophomore who enjoys playing drums and throwing shot put. Evan, is a sixth grader who is a talented artist and plays football where I am his coach. They are my greatest achievements and they exemplify different parts of my personality which always makes me smile.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Well, there have been several. However, in recent years I went through a difficult divorce. Often it takes a great setback to force ourselves to figure out what matters most, who we are and more importantly, who we want to become. Though it’s never easy, change and growth are keys to becoming a better person. We all have reasons to fail, it’s a matter of one’s character to rebuild and keep moving forward.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Spend time with my boys. I enjoy camping, Jeeping, concerts, movies and axe throwing. Also, never underestimate the power of a good nap.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I played professional football in Europe for Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway.
