Tell us a little about your business. – At Kingery it is our mission to provide a superior level of professionalism, integrity and honesty, while offering cost-effective solutions in a timely manner. With exceptional management skills and a solid work ethic, our team can ensure that the highest-quality workmanship is evident on every project. We value our relationships and vow to remain true to our employees, project owners, vendors and partners.
How did you get started in the business? – I was hired as an assistant and leaned as much as possible to then go into working in a specialty trade. I was there for almost 8 years learning everything I could in order to move on up to estimating.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Being a female who has always worked in male dominated fields is always a challenge no matter how long you have worked in them.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Becoming a commercial construction estimator.
Tell us a little about your family. – I have been married for almost 10 years to my amazing husband Eugene Butler III and we have an awesome nine year old, Bliss Xavier. We also have three fun Fur Babies (Dogs) Fugee, Stell and Winston.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – The day I met my husband and when I got my first job working in the construction industry that led me to be able to be working at Kingery.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Hang around with family and friends. Travel for a short weekend trip close to home if possible.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I love a wide array of musical genres.
Who inspires you? – My late Grandmother Lynn.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference” -Winston Churchill.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Driven or Passionate
If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “High Hopes” by Panic! At the Disco.
If you could have a super power, what would it be? – Either read minds or fly.
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – None I use all my talents daily in work.
Which talent would you most like to have? – Being able to dance.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – I would want to be a lawyer.
What local nonprofit organizations are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – My husband and I are extremely passionate about working with local prison ministries in Lincoln and the surrounding areas.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – I grew up in the 2000s so I would have to say all the Harry Potter books.
