Meet Ron Ahrens, the Director of Sales at Neemann & Sons (neemannandsons.com).

Tell us a little about your business. – Neemann & Sons was founded in 1981 and is a family-owned home exterior company which includes roofing, siding, gutters, windows and halo lights. We are built on honesty, hard work and 100% satisfaction.

How did you get started in the business? – I had a friend working for Neemann & Sons and he introduced me to Terry and Chris Neemann. The rest is history.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – I did not have any experience in sales and I needed to learn how to do sales.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Becoming Director of Sales at Neemann & Sons.

Tell us a little about your family. – I have five children. Amanda, Candace, Trey, Teague and Turner. And a great wife, Michaela.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Deciding to get out of working in Human Services and becoming a salesmen.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Go to my friend’s pool – Mark and Heather Bohae.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I worked in Human Services for 37 years and have a Master’s in Human Service Administration.

Who inspires you? – My family.

What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “I would rather have a million friends then a million dollars. Your friends will always give you a dollar.”

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Fun.

Which talent would you most like to have? – Being able to sing and play a musical instrument.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – To be a Professional Pickleball Player. Pickleball is all the rage right now and I am here for it.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? – We support Autism Action Partnership in Omaha . My wife, Michaela, is a Senior Director there.

What is your favorite movie? – Shawshank Redemption.

What is your favorite TV show? – White Collar.

What is your favorite local Lincoln restaurant? – Isles Pizza in Havelock.
