Tell us a little about your business.

Currently in our 32nd year of business, we work with our client partners across the talent lifecycle to scientifically assess, select, onboard, develop, coach, engage, and retain the right people with the right talents to grow and gain a competitive advantage over their industry peers. We work across a variety of industries including healthcare, retail, hospitality, and finance in organizations from small businesses to Fortune 500 organizations.

How did you get started in the business?

My sales and sales leadership career began with a focus in the medical arena. It has progressed to support human capital development and ultimately to Talent Plus with our focus being The Science of Human PotentialitySM.

What has been your most important achievement professionally?

Launching several lifesaving and quality-of-life-improving medical device technologies used in the treatment of breast cancer, limb salvage, abdominal compartment syndrome, and menorrhagia.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?

When I understood the difference between leading a successful life and leading a life of significance. This understanding helped me design a career strategy that looked not only to positions that stressed personal success and growth, but equally important to organizations that had a clear mission that impacted the good of people specifically and humanity in general. It’s less about the money, more about the mission.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?

Enjoy a baseball game or take in a museum.

If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be?

Tenacious.

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

I kind of already do have super powers. They come in the form of educating individuals about their talents. We (Talent Plus) have solutions to help elevate people, their families, and communities. It feels amazing to help others connect with their full and true human potential.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be?

Play center field for a MLB team or drive F1.

What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why?

Kappa Alpha Psi – Guide Right and American Red Cross. Each of these organizations have a mission to change and save lives.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?

You Gotta’ Be Hungry by Les Brown.

What is your favorite movie?

The 25th Hour—adapted from a David Benioff novel, directed by Spike Lee.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?

Omaha native, Malcom X. Because like many in history, he speaks a truth that power is not always able to hear nor fully comprehend with contemporary ears, but with the passing of time their methods, missions, and words transform in meaning.
