ServeNebraska (serve.nebraska.gov) is happy to announce that the 2023-2024 AmeriCorps Grant funding opportunity is now open. AmeriCorps grants are awarded to organizations in order to operate programs addressing a specific community need categorized under one of six AmeriCorps focus areas. Two of their current Nebraska programs include Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln, which teaches children and families about making healthy and nutritious choices to help them live healthier lives, and R.I.S.E, which supports students on probation in acquiring skills to achieve academic success.

The six AmeriCorps focus areas are education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, veterans, and military families, and disaster services.
