Northwestern Mutual – Nebraska Nationally Recognized for Childhood Cancer Activism
Northwestern Mutual – Nebraska (www.northwesternmutual.com) goes above and beyond in their mission help eradicate childhood cancer. Driven by this mission, the Nebraska office was named Most Exceptional 2017 Childhood Cancer Impact Award winner, receiving a $100,000 grant for the fight against pediatric cancer in Nebraska.
Northwestern Mutual – Nebraska has spent over 2,500 hours volunteering and raised more than $250,000 toward childhood cancer programs since 2016. The office holds the fight against childhood cancer near and dear, as Nebraska is ranked third nationally in pediatric cancer rates under the age of fifteen.
The annual Childhood Cancer Impact Award is given to the office that is recognized most for their outstanding commitment to local nonprofits focused on childhood cancer research and family support. This award will contribute to childhood cancer research and family support in Nebraska.
Northwestern Mutual – Nebraska supports the following organizations in the fight to end childhood cancer: Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, The Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, Camp CoHolo, Sammy’s Superhero’s, Pediatric Cancer Action Network, The Emma Strong Foundation, and The Shootout for Cancer.
