Tell us a little about your business. – We specialize in anything related to the exterior of your home or business. This includes residential and commercial roofing, siding, gutters, windows, doors, and insulation. Neemann & Sons (neemannandsons.com) has been repairing roofs and more for over 40 years. Our team of certified professionals can also conduct a thorough and detailed inspection of your roof if you have storm damage or any kind of leak. In addition, we install holiday lights through our Halo Custom Lighting division. As the holidays are around the corner, this is definitely an awesome, hassle-free solution for people to consider. Our LED lights will last 20+ years! They are even Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled from your phone or tablet.
How did you get started in the business? – It’s a family business, so I’ve been around it all from a very young age. I started by ground cleaning roof tear-offs when I was 14 years old.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Learning more each day to keep the business going strong.
Tell us a little about your family. – My parents, Terry and Chris Neemann, started the company in 1981. My two older brothers, Trevor and Travis, also work for the business. I got married in 2012 to my wife Kelsey. We have three kids. My stepson Trent is 16, and our daughter Harper is 10 and son Houston is 8.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Getting married.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I love watching any football game on TV, fishing, or attending the kids’ sporting events.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I did track and field growing up. When I was 10, I was the national runner up three times in the 800- and 1,500-meter dash. I have the state record still today in the 800 for ages 10 and under.
Who inspires you? – My parents.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Never give up.
If you could choose only one descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Nice.
