Next month marks 30 years for Strictly Business (strictly-business.com)! We are excited to celebrate 30 years of successful business in Lincoln and have had fun reflecting on the impact we’ve had on the community. While not much has stayed the same over the years, we have embraced the positive changes that have come with time.

I have been blessed to consistently have a great team of amazing employees. Of all the things that could have stayed the same, I’m most pleased with having a team that is just as good now as when Strictly Business first started. Without them, the last 30 years wouldn’t have been possible.

As the team here at Strictly Business has changed over the years, it has been fun to welcome new employees and wish old ones the best as they step into a new stage of their life. We couldn’t be more proud of past employees who left to start their own businesses, accounting for close to 10 new successful businesses! We are always trying to instill entrepreneurship into the community and are proud to help promote those who start local businesses.

We take great pride in promoting Lincoln and are happy to be a source of information for the community. Not only do we get to show our support for our amazing community, but make community members aware of the latest Lincoln news so that they can show their support as well. One great thing about Lincoln is that people are always consciously trying to support local businesses, something that hasn’t changed in our 30 years of businesses.

Starting out as a black and white news print, Strictly Business has definitely come a long way. Not only has our magazine grown in length, now accommodating approximately three times the number of local businesses, but morphed into something truly amazing with additions of color print and a website with online versions of our print editions. We are able to reach more people than ever before with our eye-catching covers and internet presence. If there is anything that we’ve learned over the years, it’s how to positively represent Lincoln.

Bittersweet has been the ever-changing stream of clients. We always welcome new clients, as our top priority is supporting both new and old local businesses. As such, it is always hard to see old clients move on from us, but we wish them the best in their business endeavors. We are most proud of our recurring clients, many of which have been with us for the past 10, and some even 20, years. Believe it or not, we even have one client, Krueger Development (kruegerdevelopment.com), who has been with us from the start!

It has been a pleasure to work with local businesses for the last 30 years. Getting to watch small businesses grow and develop with success is one of the best parts of working with the community. Since the start of advertising with us, we have witnessed several businesses go from a small start-up to a larger entity with an enormous staff.

Looking back at the past 30 years, it isn’t hard to see how much the magazine has changed and adapted, and to wonder where Strictly Business will go next. We want to give a big “THANK YOU” to every local business that trusts us with their press and advertising, and also want to give special thanks to our readers for supporting the Lincoln community. We hope that as you continue to support local businesses you share with them that you saw you their business right here at Strictly Business. It’s our pleasure to support the community of Lincoln.
