A recent $37 million federal investment is helping advance a planned $160 million USDA agricultural research facility at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Innovation Campus, putting a
spotlight on Lincoln and the Midwest’s growing role in the future of agriculture.

The Nebraska Innovation Campus will house the National Center for Resilient and Regenerative Precision Agriculture facility and will focus on precision agriculture, sustainable production and climate resilience, adding to a growing agricultural innovation ecosystem in Lincoln.

That ecosystem is getting a broader regional push through the AgWorks Corridor (agworkscorridor.com), an 11-county, bi-state initiative launched by Lincoln and Omaha to attract and grow companies across ag-tech, animal health, food processing, agricultural equipment manufacturing and industrial bioprocessing.

The corridor represents 700+ companies and 37,000+ employees across these industries, with an industry concentration 66% higher than the national average. Together, the region’s research institutions, agricultural companies and producers are creating an ecosystem where new technologies can move from research and development to commercialization.
