1776 Grounds Maintenance Celebrates 20 Years in Service
September 2021 marked the 20th year in business for 1776 Grounds Maintenance (1776gm.com). They started out in Des Moines, IA in 2001 and then moved to Lincoln in 2008 to continue to offer lawn care, landscape maintenance, and snow removal services.
Owner Roger Berte grew up on a grain farm in northern Iowa and has worked with weather, soil, plants, and products his entire life. This knowledge and experience turned into owning and operating 1776 Grounds Maintenance. Roger’s wife, Angie, joined the company in December 2019 as the office manager/company representative. She assists with office management, hiring, and building and maintaining connections and relationships. Both Roger and Angie are Veterans via the United States Air Force and United States Army National Guard (Nebraska).
1776 Grounds Maintenance continues to learn and innovate new processes to improve the grounds care industry. They provide grounds care services such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, weed control, and snow removal to commercial properties and acreages in or near Lincoln. They are committed to performing excellent grounds care for the Lincoln area, year-round. 1776 serves commercial properties and acreages, are licensed and insured, and have the experience and equipment to do the job right.
