The 12th annual Art in the Garden show, “Golden Hour,” will return to Lincoln’s Sunken Gardens (lincoln.ne.gov/Sunken-Gardens) on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature nearly 50 artists and is free and open to the public.
This one-day celebration of creativity offers guests the opportunity to wander through the 1.5-acre Sunken Gardens, one of Lincoln’s most iconic outdoor spaces, at the height of its seasonal bloom.
The show will highlight a wide range of artistic talent, with handcrafted pieces available for purchase. Attendees will find paintings, sculptures, ceramics, illustrations, jewelry and other original works, all created by local and regional artists.
In addition to the art on display, Art in the Garden will offer live music and dance performances throughout the day, adding to the lively atmosphere. Food trucks will also be on-site, giving visitors the chance to enjoy a variety of food and beverage options while taking in the art and entertainment.
The annual event is presented by Clements Noyes Art Gallery and is made possible with the support of Ameritas, First Interstate Bank, Party in the Parks and Lincoln Parks and Recreation. Donations to support the continued care and maintenance of the Sunken Gardens will be accepted at the north and south entrances during the event or can be made online at lincolnparks.org.
Parking for attendees will be available in surrounding residential streets, the small lot located at 26th and D streets, and the larger lot across 27th Street near the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.
