Assemble Lincoln (www.assemblelincoln.com, AL), Lancaster County’s standing committee tasked with developing Lincoln’s Downtown Convention Center, has announced that four architectural teams responded to the Request for Proposals sought by Assemble Lincoln.

Upon issuance of the Request for Proposals (RFP) for Conceptual Design services for the new convention center on February 8, AL received four responses. At AL’s meeting on March 7, a motion was made and approved on a unanimous vote to engage with the four architectural teams and begin a deeper analysis of their proposals.

The four teams are:

  • HDR-LMN-Olsson
  • BVH-TVS
  • Populous-Clark & Enersen
  • Fentress-Sinclair Hille

“The world-class caliber of the design respondents speaks to the clear demand for a Lincoln Convention Center,” says Senator Eliot Bostar, Chair of the AL committee. “I’m proud that this project represents an opportunity that both national firms and the very best local leaders in architecture and design are seeking to join.”

Assemble Lincoln and Legends remain committed to engaging with the public throughout the process of designing, building and completing Lincoln’s Downtown Convention Center. They note that engagement of the architectural teams is not only a crucial step in furthering the programmatic design of the convention center but also necessary to assist them through the site selection process.
