ECHO Collective (echocollectivene.org) is proud to have helped Carmen Castillo expand her business. The organization connects immigrants and refugees with one another and helps them with their business ventures.

Carmen Castillo kicked off her party prop and decorating business, RC Party Accents, at her daughter’s seventh birthday party almost five years ago. She wanted to build party props and rent them out, but she learned people needed her help to see the final vision. When Castillo wanted to take her business further, she discovered ECHO Collective. She finished the ECHO Collective program in May 2022.

ECHO Collective connects and empowers refugee and immigrant women by providing opportunities for personal growth and building cross-cultural relationships in a nurturing environment. ECHO Collective helps refugee and immigrant women overcome the barriers that they face in rebuilding their lives in the United States. Their entrepreneurship and creative programs focus on sparking connections that surpass language, and their desire is to see every refugee and immigrant confidently call Lincoln “home.”
