After three and a half years of cultivating a love for literacy in Lincoln, Elleinad Books (elleinadbooks.com) is turning the page on a new chapter. The independent children’s bookstore has relocated to a high-visibility storefront at 48th and Prescott Avenue, placing it in the heart of the vibrant College View neighborhood.
The April 25 move brings the shop closer to local staples like The Mill and Paper Kite, providing the foot traffic necessary for long-term sustainability. Founded by Danielle Eby, a mother of three and former stay-at-home mom, the store is designed as a community hub where families can “just chill” and explore stories away from the overstimulation of big-box retailers.
“I want that nine-year-old boy to remember twenty years from now that he went to the bookstore with his mom every month and found a story that changed him,” Danielle shared.
Elleinad Books is celebrated for its “no licensed characters” policy, prioritizing unique, high-quality titles that spark a child’s imagination. The new location will feature expanded hours, including
Sundays (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) to coincide with the College View Farmers Market.
Key Dates:
Ribbon Cutting: May 28 at 4 p.m.
Statewide Bookstore Trail: Launching June 1
