Engineering Firm Garver Opens New Office

Garver’s (GarverUSA.com) tradition for providing the most advanced aviation design solutions was enhanced recently with the opening of a new office at 1314 O St. in Lincoln. The engineering firm’s employees based in this office will team with more than 80 engineers and planners from across the country to solve the most crucial challenges at airports throughout Nebraska and Iowa.

While Garver is new to Lincoln, it isn’t new to the region. Its Federal Team is currently working with the United States Corps of Engineers Omaha District in a design-build agreement for an indoor firing range at Minot Air Force Base in Minot, ND. With the newest opening, Garver’s nearly 700 employees are now delivering innovative infrastructure solutions out of more than 30 offices across 13 states.

“We’ve spent more than 60 years partnering with airports across the country to make sure they’re as safe and efficient as possible, and we’re excited to bring those services to new markets in Nebraska and Iowa,” said Garver Director of Aviation Mike Griffin, PE. “We’ll continue to concentrate on pairing our best people with our best clients.”

Aviation Project Manager Roger Knobeloch, PE, who will be based in the new office, has extensive experience working alongside airport operators and stakeholders at commercial and general aviation airports in the region on runway construction, lighting, and pavement repair projects. His hiring boosts a Garver Aviation Team that began with a single parking lot improvement project in the 1950s. The practice has steadily grown since, delivering improvements to more than 250 airports across the country and in 2019 was included among the nation’s top 20 aviation design firms according to Engineering News-Record.

Founded in 1919, Garver is an employee-owned multi-disciplined engineering, planning, architectural, and environmental services firm that offers a wide range of services focused on aviation, construction, facilities design, federal, power, transportation, survey, and water.
