FNBO (First National Bank of Omaha) (fnbo.com/agribusiness) is investing in the future of agriculture by supporting FFA with $38,950 in donations this year across Nebraska, Colorado, Illinois, South Dakota and Wyoming. Especially significant for Lincoln and other Nebraska communities is the $12,000 going toward the Nebraska FFA Launch! Program, which FNBO is sponsoring for the eighth year.

Launch! is a year-long program that takes high school students and teachers through the entrepreneurial process of creating valuable, sustainable business ideas that solve real-world problems for real-world customers. A partnership between the Nebraska FFA Foundation and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Engler Entrepreneurship program, Launch! is used in over 15 Nebraska schools to bring entrepreneurship education to the classroom.

“Lincoln and our Nebraska communities are hubs for ag innovation and education,” said Heath Stewart, Director, Commercial and Agribusiness. “We’re excited to help nurture the talent that will lead our state’s largest industry into the future.”

FNBO’s contributions are part of its broader efforts to provide positive educational experiences for students. Stewart and other agribusiness lenders will volunteer at FFA chapters and in agricultural education classrooms to provide agribusiness education.

“As one of the nation’s top ag lenders, FNBO takes pride in supporting organizations like FFA that are preparing the next generation to lead the ag industry,” said Stewart.
