The Home Builders Association of Lincoln (HBAL), www.hbal.org awarded $25,000 to Nebraska Housing Resource (NHR) through the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation. The contribution will go to the NHR Middle Income Workforce Housing Investment Fund. The Middle Income Workforce Housing Investment Fund will stimulate the production of middle-income home-ownership housing.

The Home Builders Association of Lincoln is a visible, effective and respected trade association which promotes home building through professional education, member communication and civic participation, and which represents builders and associated professionals in community, government and industry forums.

The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation was established in 2009 as a 501(c)(3) charitable, nonprofit organization dedicated to the future of the home building industry in Lancaster County. The Foundation’s mission is to support the educational and charitable activities of the Home Builders Association of Lincoln. They support the community by contributing to community service projects focused on housing, providing scholarships for students pursuing a career related to the building industry and providing funding for other industry related educational programs.
