The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation — in association with Home Builders Association of Lincoln (HBAL) (hbal.org)— awards scholarships to seniors from southeast Nebraska high schools who will be attending an accredited college, university or technical college and majoring in one of the construction fields. HBAL and the Remodelers Council award $1,000 scholarships which are open to any senior. The President’s Scholarship is $2,000 and is open to a senior who has a close relative who is a member or is employed by a member of the Home Builders Association of Lincoln.
“These students are the future of our industry,” shared Beau Daffer at HBAL’s 2024 Tribute to Youth event. “Many of them will become members or leaders within our company teams and possibly run their own business one day. The support and involvement HBAL provides for these students contribute to their success.”
High school students considering a career in construction are encouraged to apply. More information, including the scholarship application can be found on the HBAL website here: tinyurl.com/v3ykfmn4. Deadline is Friday, February 28. Selected recipients will be honored at HBAL’s Tribute to Youth dinner in April.
HBAL promotes home building through professional education, membership communication and civic partnership. Learn more at hbal.org.
