LHRMA (Lincoln Human Resources Management Association) (lincolnhr.org) is excited to announce that they have undergone a rebrand and rolled out a new logo. With a fresh look and the excitement of the new year, LHRMA has organized a great program lineup for 2020. On the second Tuesday of each month, LHRMA will host an educational luncheon covering a variety of topics within the industry. This month’s event will be on March 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Graduate. It will focus on workplace incivility.

Attendees will learn ways to approach or coach to difficult behaviors when they happen in the workplace—what can you control when communication breaks down and how to react and respond appropriately so that you maintain your professionalism. Melissa Carpenter, human resources manager for Bryan Health, is slated as the presenter. Melissa Carpenter has been in the HR field for 20 years with a focus on employee relations and organizational development. She is passionate about helping leaders with complex issues and believes that with every difficult situation there is growth, you just have to be willing to see it.

The program registration is $15 for LHRMA members and $25 for other attendees. Luncheon attendance is free for SHRM designated student chapter members. This program is valid for 1 PDCs toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification.

The mission of LHRMA is to provide for the interchange of ideas, experiences, and methods concerning the relationships between management and employees, and to provide professional ethics and acquaintanceship among those involved in professional human resource management.
