Lincoln residents and visitors can now access the Lincoln, Nebraska app in both the Apple App Store and Google Play.  Last fall the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Nelnet and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, released a mobile web app to showcase the best of Lincoln for all to discover, access and share.  The app is now available and free to download for both iPhone and Android in the Apple App Store and Google Play.  The app looks identical to the web app released last fall and can be found by searching LNK into a smartphone search bar.  The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce believes that the app’s presence in the Apple App Store and Google Play is a better access point for those looking to download and explore Lincoln.  GPS functionality will let users know what events are happening around them and will inform users how to get to their desired location.  Users have the ability to submit their own events by visiting http://www.lincoln.org/play/add-event, which will then populate Lincoln.org and the Lincoln, Nebraska mobile app.  For more information about the Lincoln, Nebraska app, visit www.lcoc.com/lincolnnebraskaapp.
