The Lincoln Airport (lincolnairport.com) will host an aviation-themed Outdoor Movie Night on Friday, Aug. 15, in honor of National Aviation Day, featuring a special screening of Top Gun: Maverick. The event begins at 7 p.m. and includes aviation-themed activities for all ages.
Guests are invited to take part in the Explore & Soar Passport Activity, where they can meet pilots and aviation professionals, collect stamps at interactive booths and turn in completed passports for a chance to win a prize. Additional activities include the ArtBus LNK, a paper airplane throwing contest and more surprises throughout the evening.
The event also supports local families through a Back-to-School supply drive benefiting Friendship Home of Lincoln. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations to help students start the school year strong.
Participating aviation groups include Women in Aviation – Cornhusker Chapter, EAA Chapter 569, Silverhawk Aviation, Atlantic Aviation LNK, Ignite Flight Academy, Lincoln Sky Knights RC Club of Nebraska and the Commemorative Air Force.
