Prairie Studio (prairiestudionebraska.com), a design, drafting, and consulting business in Lincoln, recently launched a beautiful, easy-to-navigate website that showcases an extensive portfolio of Owner Garry Martin’s work on residential and light-commercial projects. Prairiestudionebraska.com illustrates the wide array of project-design consulting, construction administrative services, and general work in building construction that demonstrate his ability to bring clients’ dreams to life. Celebrating 10 years in business come August 1, Garry’s creations include everything from a bungalow kitchen to modern mountain living, contemporary multi-family homes, creative studios, small businesses, fraternal living, and more. Whatever your vision, he has the experience and talent to turn it into reality—and for Garry, the passion for pulling together the pieces of the construction puzzle has been a lifelong one.
“I like to tell the story that my mom always tells,” Garry said. “When I was in kindergarten, she got a call from the school saying that I hadn’t shown up. We were in a new suburban area where they were building homes, and I got fascinated about how things were going together and didn’t get to school. They had to find me and pull me away. My fascination caused me to be late for school, but I consider it to be one of the best educational experiences of my life, and it served as the starting point for my journey to the architectural profession.”
Garry earned his master’s degree in architecture from the University of Nebrask – Lincoln. During school, he learned important lessons in design, drafting, and consulting, all the way from identifying issues to finding solutions through collaboration. He was blessed to have good experiences working for architecture employers for 20 years before landing the opportunity to open Prairie Studio on August 1, 2011. Garry loves that he gets to work closely with each of his clients to understand their visions to a tee through a collaborative relationship where he likes to listen as much or more than he talks. Testimonials from previous clients suggest he accomplishes what he promises, too.
