Seniors in Lincoln are invited to attend two upcoming Savvy Seniors Empowerment Seminars (NESavvySeniors.com) at St. Mark’s Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd., where experts will provide insights on securing both personal legacies and financial safety. These engaging sessions, held on the first Wednesday of each month, are designed to educate and empower seniors in navigating life’s important challenges.
In March, the series will focus on “Leaving a Legacy: The Gift of Generosity,” exploring the ways seniors can create a lasting impact for their loved ones and communities. Attendees will learn how to pass down values, contribute to meaningful causes and plan estates to reflect their life’s purpose. Whether through charitable giving, wisdom-sharing or financial planning, this seminar will provide practical steps to ensure their legacy endures.
In April, the conversation shifts to security with “Scam-Proof Yourself: Recognizing Scammers and Psychological Tricks.” With scams targeting seniors on the rise, this session will uncover the tactics fraudsters use and teach attendees how to spot and avoid them. Experts will discuss common red flags, manipulation techniques and steps to protect personal and financial information from scams both online and in everyday life.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and conversation before the 10 a.m. seminar begins. A gift will be given to those who bring a friend, and those who complete event surveys will be entered into a door prize drawing.
As always, the events are completely free. For more information or to register, visit NESavvySeniors.com, or call Alicia Chrastil at (402) 499-8147. Don’t miss these informative and engaging discussions designed to help seniors take control of their future.
