Raising Cane’s Kicks Off 10th Annual Coat Drive

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers (www.raisingcanes.com) is kicking off their 10th annual coat drive. Winter coats are being collected at all four Lincoln restaurants during the month of October and will be donated to those in need at the People’s City Mission and Homeless Prevention Center at the beginning of November. In appreciation, those who donate will receive a free meal when purchasing another Combo + drink.

Since its creation in 2007, supporters have donated over 13,400 new and gently used coats to those in need. “Each year as winter starts to set in, there are thousands of children and adults who don’t have a winter coat to keep them warm,” said Jennifer Jones, owner of the Lincoln Raising Cane’s franchise. “As we kick off the tenth year of our coat drive, we’re asking for your help to spread warmth this season by cleaning out your closets with the coats you no longer need and donate them to those who need them most in the Lincoln community.”

Since 2006, the Lincoln Raising Cane’s franchise has given back over $1 million to the Lincoln community. Stay connected with Raising Cane’s on social media for details on current community initiatives: facebook.com/CanesNebraska or twitter.com/CanesLincoln.
