The Lied Center (liedcenter.org) is kicking off September strong with An Evening With Amy Grant on Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. She will be performing some of her hit songs, along with sharing stories and memories from her 30+ year career. She’s sold over 30 million albums, earned six GRAMMY® Awards, and holds three multi-platinum albums. Grant was the first contemporary Christian artist to go platinum, top the pop charts, and perform at the GRAMMYs.
On Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m., Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra will be performing Jessie Montgomery’s Coincident Dances, Leonard Bernstein’s intense Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, and closing with Sergei Rachmaninoff’s energetic Symphonic Dances.
The last event held in this month will be the Metro Jazz Quintet; this exciting quintet of superb Nebraska jazz musicians will perform a wide variety of music from your favorite legendary jazz composers. The Lied Commons club scene features table seating, a candlelight
atmosphere, and cocktails available for purchase throughout the evening.
