The Sowers Club of Lincoln (thesowersclub.com) brought 2025 to a close in style. The Veteran’s Parade on Nov. 16 brought a dozen club members and veterans out to display flags and the Sowers balloon. Walking with pride in support of our veterans, the Club President, Rob Roper, made the front page of the Lincoln Journal Star, proudly anchoring the massive balloon.

The yearly poinsettia fundraiser was a huge success, selling almost 200 plants! Thanks to all who supported this event.

They are happy to share that The Sowers Club and Foundation donated $1,000 to the Lincoln Bike Kitchen on Nov. 25. The Sowers strive to improve the lives of Nebraskans by continually supporting programs like this. The Lincoln Bike Kitchen provides refurbished bikes to community members in need, so anyone who wants to bike can do so for free. They foresee 2026 being another great year of supporting the local community through secondary education scholarships, the Lincoln Northeast House, donating and volunteering to help support local food insecurities, and finding new, unique community programs to support.

The Sowers Club is currently seeking new members who wish to be active in improving the lives of Nebraskans and promoting pride throughout the state by sowing goodwill through charitable giving with an emphasis on youth, the underprivileged and education.
